How did it feel being there ?

The New Forest was proclaimed ‘royal’ by William the Conqueror and it is one of the largest pastureland, heathland and forest in Southern England (wikipedia.com).

I visited this forest for the first time in Autumn 2022. As a photographer, I was not sure how to approach the subject. I felt overwhelmed by the cluttered grasses and other plants and trees fighting for light and space. I couldn’t decide what was my subject. Feeling overwhelmed, I asked myself: ‘How does it feel being here?.

I started merging in one single frame three different shots of adjacent flora (trees, plants, grasses, fungi).
